New Scoring Format
Results will now be computerised at the Sportshall, therefore all athletes will have to wear a number allocated by Team Managers. This number will be kept by the athlete for the season.
The two best performing athletes per club per event will be awarded match points starting from 8pts, 7pts....etc. Relays and Parlaaf will allow one team to score and will be awarded 4pts, 3pts...etc.
League points (4pts, 3pts ..etc) will be awarded to teams in each age group dependant on position. League points will also be awarded to the Clubs dependant on the accumulation of Match points for the overall competition.
The competition consists of 6 matches taking place at Queens
Park Leisure Centre, Chesterfield.
It is ideal competition for all young athletes and helps the 'mainly' track & Field oriented athletes stay interested and fit.
A team is chosen from the league to represent Derbyshire in the East Midlands Regional Final and hopefully the National Finals. All performances in the competition are recorded and used in the selection process.
