The Mini League is the ideal league for newcomers to the sport and also
for the more experienced youngsters.
It
is unique, because anyone aged under 11 to under 15 can participate, regardless.
The Mini League is a friendly league but also highly competitive with teams
from Amber Valley, Buxton, Chesterfield, Derby and Heanor athletic/running
clubs competing for the Mini League Championship. Athletes performances
in the Mini League, are used in conjunction, with the County Championships,
to select a team to represent Derbyshire at the annual Young Inter-Counties.
The under 15 results are also used to help select the Derbyshire team at
the NoEAA Inter-Counties.
